Improving comfort
Nowadays we spend most of our time indoors - at home, at work or enjoying our free time. Optimal solution
Every building is the result of complex decisions and processes concerning its form, design and execution. Beyond this, buildings are also inextricably set in a social, economical, cultural and geographic context. This complexity is common to architecture all over the globe. As is the requirement for buildings to fit harmoniously into their surroundings, for all their formal and functional diversity. Every building is different - and for each one we have prepared a proper solution.
Highest quality
The building industry today offers an unprecedented choice of aesthetic, technical, organisational and logistical solutions. But increased options also mean a greater risk of making the wrong choices - which can have lasting consequences. Environmental compatibility and sustainability are not only ecological categories - they can also be defined in aesthetic terms. This understanding is diametrally opposed to building methods which attach no importance to formal design aspects or are aimed solely at achieving short-term economic effects. Quality interiors
Colour and texture lend a room its specific mood. A glance at Sto's interiors programme provides an indirect idea of the boundless scope for wall and room design harboured by plasters, paints, lacquers, stains, creative interior finishes and interior profiles when applied with the requisite craftsmanship. At the same time, unpleasant, unhealthy aspects are conspicuous by their absence: products used by Emil are solvent - and plasticiser-free, also incorporating additional favourable physiological properties according to their area of use and the attendant requirements. Interior design goes beyond aesthetics and good health aspects to include the appropriate products and systems for functional requirements such as thermal insulation and acoustics.
The human perspective
One only has to consider one's own bureau or home to recognise that people look to buildings for more than just practical solutions. The appearance of a building and its effects on all the other senses are also key considerations. And the way the senses of hearing, smell and touch respond to a building is closely linked to the individual's sense of well-being in a healthy environment, whether at work or at home. The scope of individual inclinations and preferences is virtually boundless, and is accompanied by a growing fascination for new aesthetic ideas.
The challenge
In our work, we're trying to fullfill our customers' wishes, as we look at our designs from a craftsman's point of view, but also from a human prespective. |
